Setup
Each player chooses 3 Dragamonz and 5 unique Battle Cards for each Dragamon, matching the card colors/factions. Each Battle Card has a Skill Cost in the top right. The sum of the Skill Costs must be less than or equal to the Skill of the Dragamon. Place the 3 Dragamon cards in front, charged side down, and shuffle the 5-card Battle Decks, placing them behind or under the corresponding Dragamon.
Playing
On your turn, you are the Attacker. Select which Dragamon you want to attack with and select the enemy Dragamon you wish to attack. That Dragamon is the Counter-attacker. Each player draws two cards from their corresponding Battle Decks. Of these two cards, select the one you want to play and place the other at the bottom of the Battle Deck. Once both players are ready, reveal the cards.
All Battle Cards have a Boost number at the top. Add this number to your Attack and your enemy will add to their Counter-attack number. Whichever total number is higher is the winner. The loser is defeated and removed from the game. Most Battle Cards have special rules on them. Some will Charge the Dragamon, flipping the Dragamon card to the more powerful side. In the event of an ambiguous result, assume the Attacker's Battle Card is resolved first.
Players take turns being the Attacker until one player has lost all their Dragamonz. The other player is the winner.
Series 2
Series 2 added a new faction, Nomad, which uses Weapons when charging. These are clear cards that overlay the Dragamon. When selecting a Nomad for your team, you may choose up to two Weapons. Keep these off to the side, and when that Dragamon charges, select one of these Weapons to equip. Some Weapons require them to be discarded after usage. The Dragamon must fight the remainder of the battle without a Weapon.
